Bakers Sto n Go

We all have our secrets. Mine isn’t so secret: I love to bake. I mean I really love to bake. Perfecting recipes, trying new ones, experimenting, testing, getting it just right. It’s wonderful. For me, there’s nothing like the smell of baking as it fills the house. And few things give me the same kind of simple pleasure and satisfaction as making something from scratch for the people I care about most. In November 2005, my husband and I were getting ready to leave for a family ski trip to Canada to celebrate Thanksgiving. Since we would be away, I wanted to bring something homemade, and so I baked my Double Chocolate Oatmeal Brownie Cookies and Chocolate Mint Brownies to bring with us. Gently – VERY gently – I put the cookies and brownies in a large plastic container, delicately layering them one on top of the other. Unable to find a lid for the container, I left it to my husband, while I made sure we were all packed and ready to go. Unable to find a lid himself, he decided to put everything in storage bags, which he then packed in his carry-on! We made it to the airport and made the flight. Sometime after take-off, I thought a cookie or two might be a good idea. The mound of chocolate mush that I pulled from his bag was unrecognizable. My cookies, my brownies…pulverized! “My cookies!” A startled flight attendant suddenly rushed up the isle, asking if I was okay. Embarrassed, I told her I was fine. But I wasn’t. All my good intentions were now crumbs. Feeling bad (and a little scared), my husband promised that as soon as we got back, he’d buy me an entire kitchen of storage containers, every shape, every size, no expense would be spared. Now, besides loving to bake, I also enjoy meditating. A short time after the plane incident, while meditating, I had a vision. Well, a vision of sorts. It was more of an image, an image of the most wonderful container: one with trays that slide in and out and up and down, ensuring perfect brownies would always stay perfect. There would be no more need for layers of wax paper. Kids (even husbands!) could be sent to school or work or a family outing with cookies or cupcakes, any delicate food, without the fear of the smoosh. After a year of research and design, I am thrilled to launch a modern baker’s new best friend – Bakers Sto ‘n Go™. This amazing container is incredibly versatile and easy to carry. Microwaveable safe, the 10 1/2 x 9 1/2 x 4 5/8 Bakers Sto ‘n Go™ is dishwasher friendly and made in the USA. The adjustable trays accommodate virtually any combination of goods. Try cookies on one level, cupcakes on the next, and brownies on top. All trays are completely adjustable and the handle is retractable. For all those bakers out there – and I know you're out there! – Bakers Sto’ n Go™ will help keep the things you spend so many hours creating stay as picture perfect as they look from your kitchen counter.
