Jardin De Ville
Founded in 1956 by Carmen Bourque, the family business know as Patio Rama Bourque, located in St. Antoine des Laurentides, sold its firt chair at a time when comfortable, high-end design in patio and garden furnishings was still an emerging trend. It has came a long way since then!
In 1975, Carmen Bourque’s two daughters, Johanne and Marcelle, took over the firm. Their brother Jean later joined the company as well.
In 1988, dissatisfied with the products available on the market, the Bourque family founded Cuscini Design, a manufacturing plant specialized in the production of cushions and parasols.
In 1991, Patio Rama Bourque, through its plant Cuscini Design, extended its product line witch the manufacture of awnings.
In 1995, after a foray into the world of household furnishings, the Bourques launched a store in Montreal, and Patio Rama Bourque became Jardin de Ville.
In 1996, Cuscini Design developed a new product: the garden pavilion.
In 1998, Jardin de Ville opened its second store in Blainville. In the same year, Cuscini Design exhibited its garden pavilions at the renowned Chicago Casual Market tradeshow.
In 2000, Jardin de Ville introduced a new line of synthetic wicker furniture by Cane line, providing distribution in Canada and the United States through Cane-line US.CA.
Today, in 2004, Jardin de Ville is continuing its expansion with the construction of a new 54,600 sq. ft. facility, in which it plans to house its Blainville office, showroom and Cuscini Design manufacturing plant. The Montreal boutique has been renovated and extended by an additional 1,500 square feet.
