Arcade-In-A-Box
Tucson, AZ based Arcade-In-A-Box has developed a unique product by literally placing an “arcade” in a box. Superficially, the product resembles an arcade control box, with joysticks, trackball and spinner. Under the hood, however, one finds a complete PC ready to run classic as well as modern arcade-style games. Additionally, this “Arcade-In-A-Box” is designed to plug into a television, not just computer monitors.
Because of this, the company is poised to introduce “arcade-style” computer games to the home theater market. No longer do people need to purchase a big, bulky arcade cabinet to enjoy arcade-style games with authentic arcade controls. Now they can enjoy modern as well as classic games on projectors or flat screen TVs from the comfort of a couch!
Each computer is designed to play any game currently on the market and features a 3ghz Celeron, 512 meg RAM, and a 128 meg ATI video card. These components are also upgradeable should need arise in the future.
